Really fun to replay that old game who is the first who start that kind of RPG ....

Nostalgia overload. The updated sprites are a nice touch. Classic slime killing action.

I used to play this game as Dragon Warrior and have been waiting and hoping for years (since the iPhone 3G came to Canada) that it would become an iPhone game! Countless times have I searched the App Store for this game. Whoever is responsible for making this happen, Thank You, sincerely.

Great game that plays beautifully even when you have only 1 free hand. I have two newborn twins at home and this game is a real lifesaver when Im feeding a bottle. Recommended to everyone but especially new parents who need to squeeze in a few minutes of gaming without too much effort.

This is one of the earliest RPGs ever released on consoles, and its still fun to play. The grind has been softened up fairly significantly, which I liked. There are some small tweaks to the game, like the inclusion of stat-boosting seeds, but for the most part the game hasnt changed. The graphical and audio overhaul is nice. If you want a fun, old school RPG, you cant go wrong with Dragon Quest for the price of a cup of coffee.

Pls bring out dragon quest 2 . I loved playing this game again

Super great port, especial for a nostalgia nerd like myself. I miss the old sprites and original translation, but still loved playing through.

I purchased this on Friday and had it wrapped by Mid-Monday. I remember my friend Daryl owned this game and I owned Final Fantasy two of the best NES games ever! I revisited my youth with this title and Im sure you will enjoy this classic, cheers!

It is an old game, you dont have an objectives page or a gps ill remove a stars because the graphics hurt my eyes big time, sadly i wont be able to enjoy it, maybe an option to turn the game with SNES graphics? It was so better that way please and thank you!

Such a joy to play this title from my childhood. No issues with the game play at all on my iPhone 5S so not sure whats up with the other reviewing having crashes on his device. For those that want the nostalgia definitely pick this up. For those who havent played it or any other old school style RPGs just note that there may be a couple parts where grinding is necessary and you may need to look up where to go or what to do next but it is still a great game. For this price it isnt worth passing up. Now to finish DQIV and then start DQII.

This takes me back. I loved playing this game as a kid and i love playing it now. I wish i could change it to classic NES 8 bit graphics for full nostalgia. Worth buying for a piece of dragon quest history.

This sure took me back to my childhood. What an awesome game to bring back from the grave. I dont play many games anymore but when I saw this I had to get it. Already finished it. A+++++

Touch controls actually work Doesnt crash on old iPod touch 4th gen Updated graphics and translations!

Great for nostalgia but the color needs to be softened or something. Too much contrast hurts my eyes (ipad). Or could add an in game display settings to adjust to suit the player
