It was a fun game and it was worth the money I paid for it. It was a little easier then the version I played as a kid

Reminds me of phantasy star and other final fantasy games. If you want a classic rpg at your finger tips this is the game!! Classic game where ever you go whats not to love
If you want to play one of the grand-daddies of all modern RPGs, this would be it. Overall a great game, tho simple by todays standards. The fact you can play one handed and quick save anywhere in game means you can pick it up an play for five minutes or five hours. Please dont mistake simple for easy tho...there are some challenges and definitely some grinding to be done. But for $2.99 and no micro-transaction garbage, its worth the price.
Ill start by saying Ive never played a dragons quest game before. This rpg is great! Grindy? Yes but its fun. Youre a lone adventurer on a quest to save a princess. Its just good simple fun and so easily accessible on IOS.
This is a very basic title, and thats what makes it great for mobile or one handed gaming. At two dollars and coins this is easily the best value from square, especially amongst big name Franchises such as this. Great game, great price.
Lost one star because I was expecting an 8-bit tune in the game. I mean if the company is going to use an orchestrated soundtrack; may as well update the graphics...
I have never played any Dragon Quest games before but now I wish I had known about them as a kid. Great game and I am downloading the next one now!
Having been a long-time Final Fantasy fan and overall Squaresoft need I was pretty aware of Dragon Quest (or Dragon Warrior as they had branded it in USA at the time). At one point into the SNES era, I had bought the NES version of this game but it didnt behave well, lol. I gave up. Fast forward almost two decades... and after seeing Square commit to porting all the Dragon Quest games to iOS I too have committed to playing them all. Number 1 here was a dream on my 6 Plus. Plenty of room for the joystick and plenty of room to enjoy the gorgeous pixels. I generally will play this game and other old school JRPGs with headphones. I havent looked too much into this title yet but based on the closing credits I suspect the original music has been remastered, and it was amazing. The story and gameplay are pretty straightforward for this entry and the menu allows you to save the game quickly anywhere. Its not an overly long title but youll probably grind out a few times. Perfect for mobile. On to the next one.
I played this game with my grandfathers help when I was a kid, and revisiting it was a great rush of nostalgia. That being said this game has not aged well. Having one on one battles in a classic jrpg loses its flare fast. Even the boss fights become trivial if you are the appropriate level and use a little logic. Still I loved revisiting this game and feel that my money was well spent.
Same game as our childhoods, but awesome modern features, graphics and orchestrated music.
Aside from the way they did the speech of the characters good game. Quick save is awesome almost makes it unfair. The original from nintendo the text was way different everyone talk really funny like they went overboard trying to make it sound like they were in Medieval times. Great game just annoying talking to characters.
Im so happy this is available on iOS now! But why cant it be played in the original Japanese?
Very addictive and fun. Im very happy with the game is the best. Make it a landscape.*. Thanks for the attention
One of my favorites and i love the revised graphics. 5/5
